In January, 2018, the Presidio Trust issued a Request for Concept Proposals (RFCP) with the goal of turning the Fort Scott buildings into a “Campus for Change”
Several proposals were submitted early in the summer of 2018 – these are on the Presidio website at https://www.presidio.gov/fort-winfield-scott/proposals, as are the Trust staff’s preliminary recommendations. Public comment was also invited.
The Presidio Historical Association’s letter PHA Fort Scott Concepts Comments focused on the importance of providing for historic interpretation in the planing for the reuse of the Ft Scott site.

January 24, 2019: Presidio Trust Public Board of Directors meeting – the Board will hear presentations from the teams invited to respond to the RFP and take public comment.
January 15, 2019: Proposals in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP) are due.
November 16, 2018: NEPA Scoping Period
October 18, 2018: Presidio Trust Public Board of Directors Meeting/NEPA Scoping Workshop (This is a public meeting to determine what needs to be addressed in the National Environmental Protection Act assessment of the project)
September 28, 2018: NEPA Scoping Period Begins
(The National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) requires projects to be assessed for their impact on the environment. The scoping process provides an opportunity for the public to identify issues that should be considered in this assessment)

September 27, 2018: Presidio Trust Public Board of Directors Meeting
The Presidio Trust Board will consider these proposals at the regularly scheduled Board meeting:Thursday, September 27, 2018, from 4:30 PM – 09:00 PM, at the Presidio Officers’ Club, 50 Moraga Avenue. There will be an opportunity for public comment at the meeting – Representatives of PHA will be in attendance at the Trust Meeting this Thursday and will reinforce the recommendations and concerns listed in our formal response during open comment. PHA encourages you to attend and voice your opinion as well.

September 25, 2018: Comments on the RFCP are due
