March 28 – 250th Anza Arrival Commemoration
March 28 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Please join PHA at the Presidio Interfaith Chapel at 11 am, Saturday, March 28
for
A Commemoration of the Anza Trail with Luis Valle
On March 28, 1776, expeditionary leader and military officer Juan Bautista de Anza arrived at the northernmost point of what would become San Francisco and determined this was where others, families, and the military would soon settle.
On March 28, 2026, exactly two hundred and fifty years later, architect and educator Luis Valle will arrive at the same spot as Anza. Only this time, he will have recreated that past journey not on horseback. But by bike.
And, at 11 am, Luis will speak about the Anza 250 Documentary project.
The Presidio Historical Association is proud to support the creation of this documentary, and to host this lecture with the support of the Presidio Interfaith Chapel.
The event is free, but space is limited. Please register (required) at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/anza-250th-anniversary-commemoration-tickets-1984514346833
